We pride ourselves on using only the best components for our soils, conditioners, amendments and composts. If you have read our history you are aware of the many unique properties of our base products. We are unique in being able to offer these products to you. Our commitment to providing products of the highest quality led us to build a state of the art processing facility all on a large pad of concrete so as to not introduce any other contanimants to our products.
These products begin with our source material that contains 95% aged wood and bark and 5% forest material. These products significantly augment the growing environment when mixed into the soil, planting pot, garden or as a top dressing for turf. We add various other components (mushroom compost, composted dairy manure, poultry compost, coconut coir, perlite, beneficial microbes, etc.) to our varied products to bring you the best soils and soil amendments you can buy.
These products and their components are a source for vital plant nutrients and provide an ideal growing environment for beneficial microbes. They enhance the soil profile which helps keep the soil loose, improves root growth, aids water infiltration, and allows the soil to increase its water holding capacity.
They improve the soil profile by adding organic matter and building overall soil structure, and providing additional nutrients for plants. The wood and bark used has undergone an exclusive aging process of more than 20 years. These products are designed for a variety of uses including home gardens, flowerbeds, grow mixes for nurseries or green houses and golf courses. Some of the benefits are:

PRODUCTS:
Coarse Soil Conditioner
Aged wood and bark humus, 3/8"-minus. We sell this in two forms. Coarse Soil Conditioner is our 3/8"-minus screened and processed aged bark product. This is available in bulk and by request a branded Wolf Mountain, 2 cubic foot, bag for interested customers. We also sell an enhanced coarse soil conditioner product called Designer Soils PowerMulch™ using the same bark substrate but we add a clay-buster fertilizer that also supplies Calcium and Sulfur for plant production, called CaTs® (calcium thio-sulfate). We also add to PowerMulch™ a very good beneficial microbe package called BMI-1™. More information on this PowerMulch product is available at

Fine Soil Conditioner / Turf and Tee Topdressing
Aged wood and bark humus, 1/8"-minus. This is the same material as our Coarse Soil Conditioner but screeened to 1/8"-minus. All the same benefits of the former are incorporated herein. It is a good soil conditioner for flowerbeds, gardens and other planting areas. It is also an ideal topdressing for turf areas. With this product as a topdressing we also can add varioius fertilizers to enhance the overall benefits of the topdressing. Please see

Mushroom, Poultry and Dairy Manure Composts
We feel strongly about mature composts and only provide compost products that are high in nutrition and are mature and true compost products. We have found a few that we really like; namely Mushroom Compost (spent mushroom substrate), our Natural Mulch or poultry compost and a composted dairy manure compost. See our documents on these two products for more information. For these products we include the compost and our aged bark humus. We also offer an Organic Compost Mix that can be built from these mentioned composts. This organic grow mix contains compost, our wood and bark humus and perlite. See product desctiption
